Dybbuk, directed by Britta Jensen, was my first production at college, and it was a lot of fun for me! I played the lead role of the Man, which required me to become five different parts, including an old rabbi type guy. I remember one of the teachers at the school named Dawn Saito came up to me after the show and complimented my distinct physicality of each of those characters. It was a real confidence booster for me being that I was a freshman in a school full of very talented individuals. I wish I had more videos or pictures to post from that time period, but all I have from those early college days were the promotional posters that hung around the hallways to advertise the play. I have to thank my mother for her foresight in saving these posters. It's not much, but it's at least a little something to remember the performance by, and it gives one a sense of the tone of the show. There was only one other cast member in the piece, the Woman, but I can't remember the name of the girl who played that part. |
